Applus+ Training Centre in Qatar Enhances Rope Access and Rescue Training Portfolio

The Applus+ Velosi Qatar Training Centre has expanded its rope access and rescue training offerings, reinforcing its support for industrial safety and emergency preparedness across Qatar.

Delivered through the dedicated training platform www.applustraining.qa, the programs address the risks associated with work at height, confined spaces, lifting operations, and emergency response in high-risk industrial environments.

The rope access and rescue training portfolio includes Rope Rescue Training, Confined Space Rescue Training, Advanced First Aid Training, Tactical Rescue Training, Aerial Lifting and Rigging Training, Casualty Management at Height Training, Emergency Response Training, Tower Crane Rescue Training, Tower Climber and Rescue Training, and Work at Height and Rescue Training.

Training is delivered by experienced instructors with operational and rescue backgrounds, combining classroom instruction with practical exercises aligned with real site conditions.

This approach supports the development of technical competence, situational awareness, and effective response capability during emergency scenarios.

Applus+ in Qatar delivers emergency response training awareness at Msheireb Properties

Applus+ in Qatar delivered a customized Emergency Response and Incident Investigation Awareness Training at Msheireb Properties. Designed specifically for the company's partners and contractors, the session aimed to enhance preparedness, coordination, and response capabilities across multiple disciplines.

The training featured interactive presentations, case studies, and hands-on scenario exercises, equipping participants with practical tools in three key areas:

  • Hazard Identification: Proactive methods to detect and address potential risks

  • Emergency Response Protocols: Structured procedures for managing fire, medical, and security-related incidents

  • Incident Investigation Techniques: Root-cause analysis approaches to identify failures and prevent recurrence

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Security personnel reported improved confidence in managing emergency situations, while facility management contractors noted that the practical investigation frameworks would support continuous on-site safety improvements. The training's collaborative nature also strengthened inter-organizational communication and teamwork.

Applus+ in Qatar participates in Mannai Corporation’s health & safety campaign

Applus+ in Qatar participated in Mannai Corporation’s Health & Safety Campaign in December 2024, delivering a dedicated session on Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) as part of its specialized training offerings.

Mannai Corporation, a leading conglomerate in Qatar with operations spanning automotive, information technology, logistics, and more, organized the campaign to empower its employees with practical knowledge and promote a culture of workplace safety.

Applus+ trainers delivered the session at within client’s office as part of their monthly HSE campaign and we were invited as speaker which provides a range of safety and technical education programs. These include Work at Height, Confined Space Entry, Rescue Training, and Behavioral Based Safety courses, designed to meet the needs of industries such as construction, oil and gas, and logistics.

Participants gained actionable strategies to encourage safety-conscious behaviors in daily operations, reflecting both organizations' shared commitment to health and safety excellence.
